Today was a long day of driving. We started off our morning in Chattanooga, Tennessee with a less-than-average hotel continential breakfast and left around 8:30am. Unfortunately, due to some anxiety about the heavy amount of rain in Georgia, we didn’t arrive to Orlando until 8:20pm. We dropped off the moving truck at my apartment complex and raced to the Polynesian to make our 8:45pm reservations at ‘Ohana. We made it in perfect time (luckily I still remembered the way to get to work) and we met with my new roommate Chrissy and her mom to have dinner.
The firework show Happily Ever After started at 9pm so I got to watch the new fireworks for the first time at the Polynesian. Our server recognized me from the late nights during my college program bonding in the women’s locker room after our shifts. It was so nice to see a familiar face-she is the sweetest and created some extra magic for me.
We were all exhausted so we called it a night earlier. Julio gave us a lift to our car in the pargo (perks of having friends down here). I got to see the inside of my new apartment for the first time (GORGEOUS). It was hard to imagine that this place is really mine. Erin took the air mattress, I slept on the couch, and Lindsey curled up with Nala on the comfy chair. It was a long trip, but it is such a great feeling when you reach your final destination. Big thank you to Erin and Lindsey for coming with me.
